Vince and Riley, I have EL schedules from June 1961 which is only 7 or 8 months post-merger and as far as I can tell there had been little integration of operations at that point. So it would be a reasonable proxy for the separate roads in say 1959. In addition, the Maybrook article in Trains (Jan '05 I think) has some Erie schedules from around 1950. I suspect the author has the schedules for Erie and several other roads from that time, and Trains could facilitate your getting in touch with him. Let me know if I can help. Paul B From: Riley Triggs <rileytriggs_@_yahoo.com> Subject: (erielack) Erie RR Freight Schedules from 1940s-50s Hey, Vince, Just checking to see if you got any response off-list about the freight schedules. I'm interested in those myself, as I am looking at modeling not only the 28th Street Yard as you are, but possibly the Croxton Yard to Weehawken Branch, also. I'm hoping to make a trip to U of Akron to search the archives their next year - if they are still there at that time, maybe there is something there... I'll let you know if I run across anything before then. Cheers, Riley The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org ------------------------------
