I haven't been on the list in a long while and I have been going through some old threads. This one is an old subject but I have a couple of things to add: I deduce that the "C 26" milepost must refer to Canandaigua, NY. Canandaigua is in fact about that far from Avon (where I live), which is a few miles directly south of Rush/Golah. The NYC Peanut Branch roughly paralled NY Rte.5 between Batavia and Canandaigua. The bridge spans Honeoye Creek, which empties into the Genesee River a short distance west of the bridge.
