In researching the Freedom Train, I came across this newspaper article (attached) from the May 6, 1949 issue of the Buffalo Courier Express. It gives a good summary of the Erie's total system as far as radio installations go. As of May 6th, 1949, 85% of the Erie mainline was radio equipped. Ronald R.
