Doug, There were three validators used by the Erie. The most common was the Cosmos machine, made by a company named A. Joslin. The other two were the Hills Centennial machine and the Auroura machine. A. Joslin was the last one in business, they went out about two years ago. The best thing to do is to keep checking ebay, or possibly going to railroadiana shows. I found a die for Newton, NJ on the DL&W about two years ago (at a garage sale for $5!). Finally about a month ago I won a Centennial machine on ebay for $25. I find machines without dies can be had for under $50. I have a freind who cleans them and puts a new ribbon in and generally spruces them up. If you can take a picture of the die I can tell you which machine type you need. Tim On 7/4/06, Douglas Crosby <dhc_@_open.org> wrote: > > I have a die from the Erie R.R. CO. for Salamanca, NY.
