Schuyler and Group, The ramp is at the south (TT east) end of the track, so the view is looking north. I think that's the freighthouse behind the train, and the station is the building in the distance with the gray roof. The ramp appears to be in good shape. As I mentioned last week, TOFC service ended here in late '73 or early '74, and Conrail promptly closed all remaining EL ramps in upstate NY except Elmira, which became the ramp for all the Southern Tier. Since this is an agricultural area I imagine the Norwich ramp continued to see sporadic use for unloading farm machinery. Does anyone know whose factory that was on the left? I can't discern the writing. On the left margin there appears to be a Purina elevator. So the station is the brick building behind the train? So, what is the gray building in the distance?
