It's a one-of-a-kind paint job. Usually the name was offset to avoid louvers
or door handles (see the C424s and the GP9s as an example), but there
appeared to be nothing to offset the roadname on these early NW2s, so I'm
stumped here myself as well. It's not a prototype scheme, as 402 wore its
Erie paint into at least late 1967, so there were plenty of earlier
switchers painted with the correctly-centered roadname.
