In this picture, the turntable appears to be about 1/8 mile south/railroad east of the Slateford Junction tower. If the tracks in the background veering off to the left are the Cut Off, and the old main on the far right, behind the building, then the turntable was approximately where the berm is for the main roadway in Slateford (used to have a bridge over the Cut Off)?
