Re: (erielack) West End Questions (2)



Kenton Ave. in Marion is Rt. 309 which crosses right at the east end of 
Marion yard, and was a manually-protected crossing due to the number of yard 
moves going on, as well as mainline traffic to/from both the EL and PC/NYC 
Indy Line.  Silver St. intersects Kenton Ave. just north of this location, 
so apparently was near the Marion shop area...

...was never aware of it being a 'GSA' facility, as the only government 
facility around is the old Marion Army Depot on the east side of town, which 
is today an industrial park with some rail - was utilized for autorack 
unloading, but will soon be part of a 'new' CSX intermodal facility soon to 
be built there as well...
