I was a NYC yard clerk at Bronx Terminal Market in 1960-61, and there was no
track connection through the fence between the Market and the Erie. The Erie
handled wine cars to the Market using a car float to the Market's own float
bridge. I'm pretty sure that the tug and float came up the Harlem River, not
around Spuyten Duyvil.

On one of the NYC (??) forums a while back it was fairly well documented that
there was a track connection between the Erie yard at 28th St. and the NYC 30th
St. Yard, but I think it ran through a warehouse, and it was not used for
interchange.
