You can take the boys out of BERGEN County, but you can't take the BERGEN County out of the boys. lol Bill Wroblewski, and Rich Stabell. Good going guys. Its the top of the hill signal on the old Ford lead. Yard Master gave you the signal to come down from SF on the down bound signal. Not 100% sure if the up bound ( towards SF) signal was permission to come into SF yard or whether it was a second hump signal that the conductor controlled when making cuts. There was a long large S curve between the lower yard at the plant and the upper yard at SF. I have been looking across at that signal for over a month coming into and out of Suffern, and so Monday before the leafs come out I decided to go over get a few digitals and share them with you guys. Later went back to where the yard was at the plant and took a photo that I'll share later this week. Hadn't been back there in about 25 years. Couldn't even remember what street is was you turned down, but I found it. Bob Bahrs Bob As a "lurker", I tend not to respond to the EL List. But I think that the photos are of the signal on the lead at the entrance of Mahwah yard from the Main Line to the old Ford Plant. If it is, I'm surprised that it's still there after all these years. Haven't been in that area for 15 years since I moved up to Rochester, NY.
