Sorry Charles, No picture. It once again goes to prove something you take for granted is going to be there "for ever" or at least a very long time, can disappear before you know it. Maybe someone else on the list has a picture of it they can post. If you have ever traveled New York State Route 17 now being transformed into US 86 between Elmira and Corning, NY, you've been by it. A huge concrete and steel edifice a story and a half high for most of the building with one section multi storied where the freezer area was I believe. The exact date of construction I do not recall, but I believe it was the late 1960's. The architecture certainly suggested that time frame. Sadly, somehow I had a feeling even without Shawn providing confirmation, what is going to be built on the location would be a Wal Mart. It isn't like there isn't already one there just two miles down the road along with a Sam's Club. Some people took offense at Elliot Spitzer's comment about Upstate New York being economically like Appalachia, personally I feel it is all too accurate a reflection of fact.
