Ron, Regarding the shot at Verona on the Caldwell Branch, the date signifies that the Erie is running out the remaining months before the beginning of the EL. The train is eastbound, and with the shadows of the station with the freight station beyond indicating a late morning/noon sun time period, this is apparently a local freight. Neat shot w/the train order board, as well as an 'Erie No Trespassing' sign showing through the brush in the foreground of the shot... I had just turned 2 yrs. old, and my folks had just moved into their house in Verona that year...
