Acc to the Color Guide, two were converted by the Erie, and two more by EL in 9/1961 for Gypsum wallboard service. It doesn't state where used, but the small number of cars implies captive service. EL 7000 appears on pg 41. Paul B From: "Schuyler Larrabee" <schuyler.larrabee_@_verizon.net> Subject: (erielack) Bulkhead flats For other reasons, I've been looking at EL and ERIE flat cars the last couple of days. I notice that the EL freight diagram 2-12 shows a series 7000-7003 (if four is a series) of 53'-6" bulkhead flat cars, "Converted from series 8050-8099 Oct 1956. Since those are former ERIE cars, I assume that these bulkhead flats were ERIE also. 1) does anybody know of or have a photo of one of these? Or two or three or all four, I'm not fussy! 2) does anybody know what service these were converted for? 3) related to 2, where did these get used?
