(erielack) More on the 1954 Annual Report photo



BTW, in this photo the loco being loaded for Korea is not identifiable. The
engine number on the cab was replaced (looks like an overpaint) with "ERIE"
plus a public-relations sign on the boiler jacket with both nations' flags.
But the locomotive is clearly one of the commuter light Pacifics.  On board
the ship already are two other steam locos both not Erie: one is a #217, the
other more distant one has on the sand dome a two-character marking that
under a magnifier looks like GN.
