RE: (erielack) A (MUCH) bigger version of the EL/NJDOT map...



Back in the early 1970s I was working for a radio station in the Toledo area and we got a report that EL had applied for discontinuance of the Cleveland-Youngstown service after going into bankruptcy.  EL was claiming that if they had to continue to run the train, it might cause them to run out of needed cash.  PUCO disagreed and the train continued to roll, totally on EL's dime into Conrail.
