(erielack) CX-99 Wreck

Can anyone provide further details of the tragic wreck involving this train
in (I think) summer 1973? IIRC it struck a standing NJT consist at Suffern
(the coaches, fortunately empty, positioned for inbound push mode) in early
morning fog, and there was at least one fatality in the freight's head-end
crew. What was the date and cause of the mishap?
