Re: (erielack) Caldwell Branch (2)



As clarification, the branch endured a wash-out at Overbrook (just west of 
Cedar Grove) in mid-'75, and never restored to service.  The line was not 
absorbed into CR, and although attempts were made for the M&E to serve the 
team track at Caldwell, and the 2 lumber companies in Verona, it never 
materialized.  I believe the line was scrapped sometime in the late 
1970's/early 1980's.

Passenger service ended in 1966.
