Al,

Looking through the stuff in my photo collection, here are some fantrips for
you. As I wasn't born when many of these were run, I can't add more info
than what was on the photo caption. :)  These DON'T include the myriad of
steam excursions the EL ran, nor does this list include Erie or DL&W trips.

These are chronologically arranged. Note that they ran at least one trip
every year from 1961 to 1968, then they died. Perhaps this is because the
steam trips became popular at this point?

8/1961 - Fantrip that ran in the Greenville, PA area, EL 901 leading
5/6/1962 - Fantrip that run up the B&P, EL 8444 leading
6/8/1963 - Fantrip that ran up the Bloom from Hoboken - EL 8411 on the point
plus a black/yellow "torpedo tube" GP7 and an F3B/F3A trailing (wow!)
9/22/1963 - Trip from Hoboken to West Point, NY via NYC West Shore, two EL
F3's leading
5/9/1964 - RRE excursion over EL around Lanesboro and D&H over Ararat
Summit, EL PA 852 leading
10/17/1964 - EL-NYS&W-L&HR-EL circle trip
5/15/1965 - Branford Electric Railroaders Association fantrip, ran up to
Beacon, NY to meet with NYC
9/23/1966 - Fantrip up the Northern, EL 903 leading
9/25/1966 - Fantrip #2 up the Northern (farewell to the Northern passenger
service?), EL 922 leading
10/8/1967 - NRHS excusrion over Southern Tier, EL PA 863 leading
10/1967 - Precursor to the PA farewell trip? Had two PA's and a former DL&W
E8 (same as above trip?)
6/9/1968 - Farewell to the Pas
10/6/1968 - Central New York Chapter NRHS trip over Syracuse Branch, three
E8's leading
