(erielack) RIP Don Campbell
This was in the Bergen Record on Thursday. I didn't see it in last night's erielack digest so here it is.

CAMPBELL - Donald, 91, on March 13, 2006, of Mahwah, NJ. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Donald was predeceased by his wife Frances and is survived by his three sons, Douglas, Donald, and Frank, his daughters-in-law, Patricia and Lisa, and his six grandchildren, Ian, Lindsay, Allison, Christianne, Colin, and Chloe. Donald immigrated to the United States from Scotland in 1923 with his parents and two brothers, Richard and Andrew, and settled with his family in Hornell, NY, before moving to New Jersey after World War II. He was proud of his 48 years of service on the railroad, working for the Erie, the Erie-Lackawana, ConRail, and New Jersey Transit. He dutifully served with the Army in the Pacific with General MacArthur's Headquarters during World War II. A member of the Masons for sixty years, he served with the Kilties and Wykoff Lodge No. 287. He was an Eagle Scout and a former Cub Master and leader in Mahwah Boy Scout Troop 50. He was an avid traveler, golfer, skier, gardener, walker, and reader. He loved the outdoors, camping, and sunsets at Cape Cod. He loved young people and especially each of his grandchildren. An enthusiastic participant to the end, he was an inspiration to many in his older years. He enjoyed his final year at the Legacy at Willow Pond in Penfield, NY. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 18, 2006 at 10 AM at the Ramapo Reformed Church in Mahwah. Interment will follow at Redeemer Cemetery in Mahwah.
