Picture 2 has a mile marker on the semaphore tower, looks to be 312/1 if
that narrows it down.

Where_is_this.jpg (image/jpeg, 827x474 147916 bytes, BF: 2.65 ppb)

I've had these two photos for quite some time.  They're little prints from
when photo paper was
expensive.  Obviously, I'd like to know where they were taken, and when, but
that's a REAL long
shot.  But here's a quiz:  what is unusual about these two photos?
