Re: (erielack) Reflections of the death of Ray Ruff

When I have walked inside of 741 or the City of Lima I always think of all the people who were there before I was. When we all eventually sit down at a table in the diner will we think of everyone who sat at that very spot over the years? Who dined here before the Depression? What soldiers had a meal on their way to duty in WWII? Which ones never returned? How many conductors had a cup of coffee with the dining car crew after the breakfast rush was over? The equipment is a link but it is always about the people.

As always I and the other officers of ELDCPS thank everyone who has donated and/or purchased our reproduction items.
