RE: (erielack) Erie GP-9's 1260-5



I would assume the GP9's were purchased for road service (remember the PRR had tons in road service) - also note that the GP9's could couple up with all the other road numbers (F's and the like), whereas the GP7's could only MU with themselves and the RS3s due to different brake stands.
