(erielack) O&W Scranton Branch and EL

When I was a student at North Scranton Junior High from 1971-1972, I
remember seeing (very rarely) Erie Lackawanna trains running on what used to
be the O&W Scranton branch under the Green Ridge St. Bridge. I'm pretty sure
the tracks were ripped up by late 1972 - early 1973. Nowadays, you can't
even tell a railroad once ran there, since the roadbed was buried by fill.

Was that a "minor" branch acquired by the Lackawanna after the O&W's demise
in 1957? (I'm guessing the Lackawanna, since it had a junction with the O&W
on its Diamond Branch.) I'm guessing the northern end was around Mayfield.
I've never seen anything on this in print or in forums, but then again, I'm
new to this.
