I remember watching Yankee-Cleveland games on TV at various times, and the play by play guys would make note of the large contingent of Yankee fans attending in Cleveland. It is not unlikely that there were a good number of Yankee fans in western NY. Some places out there are closer to Cleveland than to NY, so it's likely there were many of both. I'm sure the atmosphere on the train could be, um, contentious, at times!!
