15 months ago I took a train from Penn Station directly into Morristown. That station is a palace, on par with Grand Central Station. It was constructed of stone with beautiful hard wood interiors. I had to use a public telephone so I took a tour of the station. It looked like most of the station was unused. I wonder what kind of improvements could be made to that building, except if it needed a new furnace or something like that. There was a plaque for one of the Tom Tabors in the station. This would be a great place for offices or meetings of a civic group. The station has a parking lot out front which was full the day I visited. Direct service into Penn Station has caused a local building boom. Morristown surprised me though. It was very elegant but it didn't look like a building had been built there since 1950. I couldn't find a fast food restaurant. Ed Mines Edward B. Mines 238 Willard Dr. Hewlett, NY 11557 516 205-6523 - --------------------------------- Yahoo!
