(erielack) Fwd: German roundhouse fire Nov 17, 05



I got this from a friend of mine who shares my interest in foreign railways. 
While not exact content for a couple of the lists I've forwarded this to it is 
relavent in that it points out the importance of fire protection for these 
priceless artifacts. This loss ranks right up there with the collapse of the 
roof at the B&O Musuem two years ago.

Apparently a considerable number of preserved pieces are destroyed or badly  
damaged
