Seatrain did move to Port Newark. In the mid 1970s I worked for a courier
outfit similar to today's FedEX. I picked up small pack packages at Seatrain in
Port Newark on many occasions.

In this week's crash course on Seatrain, I haven't been able to find much on
the Container Division (Google listings dominated by a band of the same
name), so I will defer to those more knowledgable. It wouldn't surprise me
if operations shifted to Port Newark at some point, that's where the action
was for containerships. However acc to the OG listing and Gordon Smith's
comment, it looks like initially Weehawken was it, at least while EL
existed. I would encourage listers to check out the RMIG site and Bill's
reference, they make for fascinating reading of the co's earlier history.
