(erielack) Ilmenite Traffic

I always thought that the Ilmenite cars went to the NL (National Lead?)
plant in Sayreville. This was the large facility on the south bank of
the Raritan River by the Garden State Parkway bridge. It was mostly
demolished 10 or so years ago. It was served by the Raritan River RR,
which was owned in part by the CNJ. The RRRR also had some ex DL&W
Cabooses, at least one of which survives (mounted on a foundation) at
the Pine Creek Railroad in Allaire State Park in Monmouth County, NJ.
