(erielack) Edgewater notes



OK, take it easy, folks!  I am not a "list cop".

A careful re-reading of my earlier post will show that at no time did I try to dictate the eras to be discussed on this list, nor did I try to "define" history. I tried only to clarify.

My observation of the posts on this list lead me to believe that more people are interested in the post-Susquehanna independence and post-WWII period and that fewer are interested in pre-WWI and the 19th Century, so I pointed out that, with the NYS&W out of Erie control, the Erie had no presence in Edgewater.  That is a fact every bit as valid as Jim Guthrie's well researched and supported facts concerning the early 1900s and demonstrates that specificity is important in historical discussions.
