Randy,

I'd like to echo your sentiment. All too often people provide
information as if it were their own or first hand when it couldn't
possibly be, without giving credit to sources and to the individuals who
took the time and effort to uncover said to the benefit of us all.
Providing the source also helps others who may be researching a topic
either in direct fashion or from a bibliography which may be present in
the original article, book, etc. It also helps to establish the accuracy
of the information. Not everything which has appeared in print has been
correct.
