Snow_at_Conklin_house.jpg (image/jpeg, 231x228 13506 bytes, BF: 3.810 ppb)
A few days past, you listers may have read my little fight with the crew dispatcher in Binghamton on my being unable to come in for a yard engine job. I told him that it was impossible to drive in, but I'd walk down to the base of the hill I lived on if they'd send the yard engine to the RR crossing there to pick me up (next crossing South of the east end of the RR yard). I was told "Mr. Miller won't like that if you don't report for the job".
Here's a foto I took later in the day. You can see that Ive already shoveled my driveway in from the road, but the powdery snow has drifted it full again by the time I got to the house. I'm near the house & next to my Ford F150 pickup. My 1965 Mustang is in the middle & my wife's Volvo is near the road. The sun is out (it's about 1PM) and the temp is a balmy 11o or so. What fun, I'd almost forgotten, living here in Florida.
Regards to all,
Walter Smith
