For what it's worth, I saw ex EL SDP 45's at Lambert's Point working the coal dock about 1984, so there's another connection, however tenuous. I have to admit being a bit mystified about them sending it there, though. URHS or somwhere closer to the Erie lines would make more sense, but I don't know the politics of the situation. It is indeed gone. I haven't been down there yet this morning, but a quick look at 1930 last night showed the new signal in service, and the semaphore gone, mast and all. On an unrelated note, I notice the crossings at Miller Beach(the location of signal 233-2 mentioned in a recent thread) and Hiawatha Roads in Owego have had the crossbucks removed and "private crossing" signs erected. As far as I know, these are still public roads. Curious.
