There are plenty of photos of the 40' drop-frame trailers (unique to UPS) which appeared on EL in 1974. In addition to numerous pics in the EL in Color series and recent ELHS calendars (you keep these, right?), there is the following: MR Guide to Intermodal Equip & Ops: p.52 Intermodal Modeler's Guide V2 p.71 Modern Piggyback Trailers (Casdorph) pp.100-101 I also have about a half dozen broadsides of these trailers (color prints). OR, you can save yourself a whole lotta time and buy the latest Athearn rtr release, #91129, of the old RPP kit, which is a faithful reproduction. The older 40' straight frame rib-side trailer which was used 1970-76 (and which the drop-frames began replacing in '74) is more of a challenge. ELIC V2 has several good shots (pp.109, 116,127) and there are several photos in the Diamond V15#2 lead article. Let me know if you'd like me to send you any of this material. Paul B Can someone point me to pics of 1970's UPS trailers? thanks, Doug The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org ------------------------------
