"Surprisingly one NYSW train (number 21 leaving JC at 9:12 am did not stop at the Transfer. Maybe a mail train." In April 1957 (Erie NY Division TT #54) NYS&W Trains 17, 19, 20, 21 and 23 were indicated with an X (Does not carry passengers). They were deadhead moves to return equipment. In that timetable, all but 17 reversed at the Transfer. No. 17 departed Jersey City at 6.25 a.m. Incidentally, at that point in time, only the Northern and Susquehanna trains were using Jersey City. The Northern trains were mostly scheduled between JC and the Transfer in 9 minutes, and the Susquehanna trains in 10 minutes.
