Concerning that "turning the pigs"picture: the photographer is standing on the DL&W main, facing more or less NW, that's BR tower, and the track in the background with the passenger train on it is the PRR main? There's an interesting shot of the aptly-named Swamp Switch at the S end of N Bergen in Hartley's "Conrail Vol 2" (pg 40). The locos are actually creating a wake. Looks like it could use a little more ballast. The "Nave" connection: a condensation of Newark AVE. Paul B the pic in Erie Power of the 401 turning pigs at BR Tower. OK, I see the Marion interchange track bridging over the High Line.
