My employees TT for April 30 1961 still shows one of the three Northern branch trains each way still stopping at Susquehanna Transfer. For the others, the first stop was Ridgefield. In the April 27, 1958 TT, There were three Northern round trips; of which two inbound and one outbound stopped at Susq. Tranfer. There were eight NYSW round trips from Jersey City and seven more NYSW round trips out of Susq. Transfer. There were also five morning and five afternoon ferry trips from Jersey City to Chambers St. (as opposed to Hoboken to Barclay St.) This all is for Mon-Fri service. No ferries on weekends. Surprisingly one NYSW train (number 21 leaving JC at 9:12 am did not stop at the Transfer. Maybe a mail train. There is an interesting footnote: "No train movements will be made by P.R.R. crews between new P.R.R. connection, just east of County Road bridge on NYS&W R.R., and interchange track at Lundy's Lane, between the hours of 5.00 A.M. and 7.41 A.M.., or until after the departure of NYS&W train 916, on weekdays. On Saturdays, no movements will be made between the hours of 5.00 A.M. and 7.36 A.M., or until after the departure of NYS&W train 962." - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim" <njmidland_@_peoplepc.com> To: "Tupaczewski,Paul R (Paul)" <paultup_@_lucent.com>; "'EL List '" <erielack_@_lists.railfan.net> Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2005 11:28 AM Subject: RE: (erielack) Northern Trains Reverse Move > >Hold on a second, I thought all Northern Branch trains ran out of Jersey > >City?
