Re: (erielack) Operations: EL in the 60's (2)



A bit off-content, but I recall in early 1971 hearing about a Penn Central
train with autoracks detouring on the B&O in Ohio due to a derailment on PC.
Evidently someone didn't check the clearance diagrams carefully enough, as
the racks hit a low underpass, trashing about a million bucks worth of
cadillacs.
