Each EL Dispatching office had a large diagram of specific points where
trains could be detoured via foreign roads in the event of a derailment.
For instance, a derailment in Ravenna, OH on the EL could result in a detour
from Leavittsburg to Kent via B&O RR.
This diagram sheet showed how the tracks of the connections were made along
with any restrictions or other information. It was noted in several places
on the Mahoning Division sheet that "Train will be reversed at this point".
One such point would be detouring via PRR from Corry, PA to Union City, PA as
#5 did on one occasion.
