Regarding above question, I suggest a reading of Muncie and Henwood's, "The
Laurel Line" for a full treatment of the L&WV. They did have an "over the hill"
branch to Dunmore and the line was to connect RRs at Wilkes-Barre with the
O&W at or near Carbondale. rm
