Well, even though I was born 3 years after April 1976, the EL was a
hometown railroad.  My initial interest was in NYS&W, then the DL&W. 
Mostly an equal fan of steam and diesel-electrics, I guess it was a
natural progression from DL&W to EL, based on livery, and again, being a
hometown railroad.
