The  Stroudsburg Op had
to hoop orders; was that just for  westbounds?

EXACTLY WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?  HE NORMALLY WOULD HOOP ORDERS TO  ANY
TRAIN IN EITHER DIRECTION THAT HAD TO GET THEM.  THERE WAS NOTHING  SPECIAL
ABOUT
WEST BOUNDS NEEDING SPECIAL TRAIN ODERS.

The reason I ask is that E Stroudsburg is only a few miles from Slateford
Jct and the Cutoff, and handing up orders is redundant with TCS.

THERE WAS WHAT WAS REFERED TO AS THE NEW CONNECTION WHICH CONNECTED THE OLD
LACKAWANNA MAIN BETWEEN UPPER HACK AND CROXTON, BUT I'M NOT EXACTLY  SURE
WHAT
YEAR IT WAS CONNECTED.  I WOULD GUESS SHORTLY AFTER THE  MERGER.  IT SIMPLY
DIVERGED FROM THE OLD LACKAWANNA MAIN JUST EAST OF NEW  COUNTY ROAD, DROPPED
DOWN AND CONNECTED WITH THE THIRD TRACK WHICH RAN OUT TO DB  DRAW, ON THE
GREENWOOD LAKE.  FROM EITHER OF THOSE TWO TRACKS YOU COULD  ENTER CROXTON
VIA THE
OLD LOOP OR THE NEW LOOP.

I've seen pictures of the "Old Loop"; where exactly was the "New Loop" in
relation to old?

Also  where was the
connection between Croxton and Hoboken eventually  installed?
ABOUT OPPOSIT GROVE ST TOWER, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE  LACKAWANNA.  DOWN IN
THE AREA OF THE OLD LACKAWANNA PIGGY BACK RAMPS.  CONNECTED TO THE ERIE 'S
LINE TO WEHAWKEN, JUST ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE ERIE'S  TUNNEL.

So a Hoboken-Croxton transfer would have to perform a back-up move through
"Nave" on the Weehawken line before proceeding through the Bergen Arches?
