(erielack) pecking order/members ages

I'm 59; never saw any Erie steam to the best of my knowledge; never
worked for Erie/DL&W/EL or any RR for that matter. (Grew up in Chicago,
near the Grand Trunk Western and do recall seeing steam there in the
early/mid 50's.)

My interest in the EL began at an early age, via Lionel trains and the
Erie. In 1952, at the age of 6, I became fixated on the Lionel Erie Alco
set #1467 and received one that Christmas. Two years later, I begged for
and received the Lionel Lackawanna Trainmaster for Christmas. So, in
1954 I was running a Lionel precursor of the future EL. Ever since, the
Erie (and then the EL) has been my favorite RR. Still have those trains
and run 'em every Christmas. Those Lionel Alcos are indestructible.

Been an Erie fan/modeler ever since.
