What rules did C & WI use? My guess is that each
railroad's employees who operated over the C & WI had to learn and carry
a second rulebook. Can anyone shed some light on this
The C&WI had their own Rule Book and Timetable. EL trains operating west of
Hammond on the C&WI were governed by C&WI Rules, Timetables and Instructions.
The EL Timetables had very little information west of Hammond. Only
Passenger schedules (showing Chicago), freight schedules (shown as information
only), company physicians, etc.
As far as speed restrictions, etc.........not in the EL EMP TT.
