Subject: Picking order

68.Growing up , I was the 4th house form the Erie main line in Owego. I
remember when North Ave still crossed the Erie main line, when there were
still road crossing at E. Temple St, Page St Green St and Mc Master St, next
to the Endicott Johnson Shoe factory. I still remember a steam loco, local
out of Binghamton, making it's run to Owego. I have walk acrossed the old
DLW curved bridge that cross the Susquehanna River at flood stage. I still
remember Erie passenger trains stopping the Owego Station. One of my
customers on my paper route work as an Agent for the DLW, and when I was in
the Navy station either at Brooklyn ship yard or Eral, New Jersey, he would
stop the mid night train(Phoebe Snow) so I could board her for Hoboken.
Stopping in Scranton, seeing the big Casey hotel lites flashing in my
window.
