The interdivisional trains were such trains as 74's, 98's, 99's 100's, etc.
Marion/Meadville trains that worked at Brier Hill, Ferrona, Shenango, etc. were manned by divisional crews---those trains changed crews at Kent. (MC-3, 94, 95, 178, etc.)
Extra trains such as Grain, Coal, etc and H&W extras, etc. all were in the short pool also.
Certainly there were trains that outlawed, but it did not seem to be an everyday occurrence. The crews attempted to make it to the terminal if possible. Everyone seemed to put forth a little extra effort to make things work. As rough and gruff as some railroaders were (are), the EL people were generally a proud bunch of people. Proud meant getting the work done.
