Re: (erielack) Nanuet Passing Sidings (ex NJ&NY RR)



And going back to antedelluvian times, the NY&Greenwood Lake people curveyed 
a route from Sterling Forest all the way to Newburgh, figuring tha it would 
be perfect to be a part of the (then-new) New York, West Shore and 
Buffalo -- especially since the [hated, rivals] NJ Midland people controlled 
and operated the Jersey City and Albany to Tappan.

[Ah, sometimes the might-have-beens are more interesting speculations than 
the real thing]
