Michael -- I'm not sure there was a physical connection between Erie and NYC
at Newburgh.  I though the elevation difference was too great to allow an
interchange, the Erie being uphill.

Now if only Metro-North could get down to restoring the cross-county Spring
Valley-Suffern rail link...too bad the line from SV-Haverstraw is gone
forever, along with its link to to the ex-NYC West Shore Line...
