RE: (erielack) Binghamton-Ithaca Passenger Service



Slightly related, for those interested I found evidence of this-

1933	October 1			

10 car DL&W train from Syracuse to Ithaca via Cortland and LVRR for Cornell
football game.

Wonder if there was any more "through" trains.  Next question- did they
change power in Cortland?

The question is getting from Vassar College to Cornell University in the 
early 1950's.

Did the DL&W operate passenger service between Bingo and Ithaca as late as 
1954?

If not, the writer possibly is mistaken and rode the LV all the way and 
bypassed Bingo.
