(erielack) Re: CNN interview.

I do recommend that anyone concerned about rights as photographers, etc.
watch this CNN show (although I have my doubts about Paula Zahn carrying it out in
a professional manner).

Randy Olson and Paul Burgess are well-known and respected rail photographers
in the Chicago area (come to think of it, they stopped by my place for a slide
show last week). Their incident a few months ago involving both Metra police
and police from the City of Morton Grove (a semi-ritzy Chicago suburb) created
quite a stir in Chicagoland, and it went all the way to the front page of the
Chicago Tribune with a semi-major story, with photos, that jumped to the back
page of the Trib (now that's status!). The Tribune handled it well, as did
Paul (a former U.S. serviceman) and Randy (a former IC dispatcher). Metra came
out of it with an egg-laden face while the City of Morton Grove wound up
issuing profuse apologies for what was an outright stupid remark by one of its
police, implying that the Patriot Act meant that everyone has to stay home and
watch MTV.
