Re: (erielack) U34CH sound



A couple of trains on the Pascack Valley Line ran with engines on the 
east end.  The noise was incredible, especially when the compressor 
kicked in, as the trains rolled into the station, past all the riders.

Beautiful and kind of terrifying at the same time.  I had never heard anything make so much noise.  Very impressive machines.  I do miss them too.
